Testimonials

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside schools, councils, youth workers, scientists, and creatives across Australia and the world. Here’s what some of them had to say about collaborating on murals, workshops, community projects, and meaningful visual storytelling.

“Bohie builds bridges; she connects the most surprising areas of intellectual exploration and inspires all who work with her…”

- Nic Plunkett-Cole, Director of Placemaking, Suburban Land Agency

“It has always been a pleasure working alongside Bohie to develop and create programs for young people. Bohies constant positivity, passion and creative expression has no doubt made an immeasurable impact on youth within the community. Her youth-focused approach has always left young people feeling heard, empowered and a key part of every project.
If only there were more Bohies out there!”

— Zac Noble, Youth Worker and Youth Project Coordinator

“Bohie was a delight to work with. She was responsive to our school's needs, worked really well with the students and adaptable to the changing nature of a school. We are so happy with the final product, thank you Bohie.”

— Victoria Bowes, Executive Officer, Guildhouse, Project Facilitator for UBER commission

“I am deeply inspired by the way that Bohie uses her art and design to celebrate the natural world and to give voice to those that don’t share her platform and power, challenging inherent social inequalities…”

— Paul West, ABC Broadcaster, Author

“Working with Bohie on our Reconciliation booklet was an absolute pleasure. She was thoughtful and deeply engaged in every step of the process, bringing a level of care and creativity that truly elevated the final product. Her graphic design skills are exceptional, and the booklet she created is something we are all incredibly proud to share with our community.

“Bohie demonstrated a deep understanding of the nuance and significance of reconciliation, ensuring that every design choice was respectful and meaningful. What surprised and supported me most, however, was her sharp eye for language. She helped refine and strengthen my words so that the message became clearer, more powerful, and perfectly fit for purpose. Her ability to balance design with storytelling and cultural sensitivity was remarkable.”

— Sarah Kearney, Co-ordinator of Indigenous Education, SCEGGS Darlinghurst

“Bohie was Great. We needed to create a different vibe in the main atrium of the National Museum for an exhibition on new Olympic Sports and Bohie came up with a concept that was bang on. And then to top it off she came in on time and on budget (and was great to work with).”

— Dr Jono Lineen, Curator, National Museum of Australia

“Bohie engaged in collaboration with the staff, students, parents and wider communtiy of St Thomas More's to design and paint a stunning mural depicting our School Values. Bohie listened to the needs of the school, validated emerging artists within the student cohort and aligned her unique style to the space provided. She went above and beyond by ensuring the mural was ready for a community celebration which allowed all members of the community to contribute. I would highly recommend Bohie not only for her artistic ability but her authentic approach to enhancing community through her presence.”

— Luke Donnelly, Principal, St Thomas More's Primary School

“Bohie is organised, resourceful and genuinely committed to creating positive experiences and opening up new possibilities for the people she works with.”

— Michelle Grimston, Programs Officer, Belco Arts

“Bohie has shown both enthusiasm and sensitivity to others in working within different contexts, with a diverse range of people. She has proven herself to have strong adaptability, creativity and lateral thinking skills in developing concept designs and finding solutions during these projects.”

— Lisa Petheram, Graffiti Management Coordinator, TCCS, ACT Government

“Bohie’s energetic charm and positive attitude made everyone at ease and her participation moved our conversations forward in exciting ways. Bohie is very articulate, bright, well-organised and a joy to be around.”

— Alexis Williams, Director of Ayatana Artist’s Research Program

“I believe this mural workshop gave the participants a great sense of accomplishment and belonging. Bohie’s approachability and talent is something for everyone to admire and strive to achieve. We loved every minute of it.”

— Samantha Pawsey, Youth Support Worker, Harrison School.

“I just wanted to say a huge thank you for running the workshop. It has meant so much to me and was incredibly inspiring. Working and creating art with you has really given me a new perspective... and has opened me up to so many new ideas and experiences.”

— Workshop Participant, “Scratchin’ The Surface Street Art Workshop”

“One of the nicest things about this process has been how easy Bohie’s been to work with. Often times schools are really chaotic places, and things change last minute and we forget to give information, or we can’t access the space or whatever it is we’re doing is a little bit more disorganised that lots of other environments…

I think Bohie’s just been excellent about rolling with what we can and can’t achieve, and when we can and can’t do it. And beautiful interactions with the kids, and I think that’s always nice too. [The mural] hasn’t been something that we’ve had to separate the children from, they’ve been able to wander through and talk to Bohie, and talk to a “real artist” about process and the thinking behind the design. It’s been great. She’s super responsive and really flexible. Keeping true to her own artistic designs, Bohie’s been incredible flexible about being able to make changes happen.”

— Melanie Coffill, Deputy Principal, Wanniassa School Junior Campus and Pre School
