An Office Residency Fostering Team Alignment Around Shared Values

ThinkPlace's global headquarters in Barton, Canberra ACT, sought to answer this question by commissioning a collaborative artwork that embodies both their core values and my own commitment to creating meaningful, values-driven art. Together, we designed a project that would inspire connection, creativity, and purpose within their workspace.

The process began with a creative team-building workshop, incorporating art therapy techniques to delve into the motivations and passions of ThinkPlace’s employees. These insights became the foundation for a mural that integrates their aspirations with my vision for art as a medium of storytelling and connection.

Painted on-site with continuous input from the team, the mural weaves together narratives and symbolic messages that align with ThinkPlace’s brand and my belief in fostering hope, patience, and care. Now displayed on the main feature wall of their open-plan office, the artwork serves as a vibrant and meaningful backdrop for work, meetings, and corporate events, bringing our shared values to life.

“Bohie’s workshop with the team gave us an opportunity to lift our narrative, to go beyond the stories of the individual project and talk about the experience of the work that we do.”

— Cate Shaw, Executive Design Manager, ThinkPlace

“The biggest attraction for us was that Bohie didn’t just want to slap something up on the wall, but work with our team so that they felt like they owned that piece of art as well.”

— Sebastian Mueller, Business Evolution Lead, ThinkPlace

BOHIE

Based in Braidwood, NSW, BOHIE creates art, illustration, public space murals, and creative workshopping experiences that explore wonder and connection to each other and to the natural world.

She works alongside educational institutions, government agencies, community focus groups and stewards of the natural world to design change-making campaigns for each creative project. Bohie utilises a research-based methodology to find inspiration for her artworks, resulting in 2D images which are laden with deeper stories and symbolic meaning.

This narrative driven conceptual development injects her unique authenticity and grass-roots integrity into the public arena, which she sees as a conscious challenge to public advertising. In a time of rapid change, extreme instability and a globally recognised feeling of imminent threat, Bohie’s art provides messages of hope and empowerment for a changed future.
