Building Inclusion Through Creative Collaboration
This mural project at Seaview High School was developed through a structured design-thinking process involving four representative classes and the SRC leadership team. The theme of Inclusivity was explored through a series of student-led workshops—tech-free spaces where participants reflected on identity, belonging, and shared values.
At the students’ request, the mural features a prominently placed Acknowledgement of Country, expressing their collective respect and cultural awareness. The background was painted by the lead artist, while the foreground imagery was completed by students—fostering leadership, teamwork, and creative ownership.
The final mural now stands as a daily visual reminder of the values students want to carry forward: inclusion, care, and the power of collaboration.
A great solution for a difficult wall - boards!
Painted in sections on the floor of the tech room -
